On April 25, a magnitude-7.8 earthquake shook Kathmandu and the surrounding area. The tremor was long, extremely long. It caused thousands of deaths and injuries. The following day another strong tremor was felt, this time measuring 6.7.
Luckily, the children and the centre staff of SAS were all fine.
As we have felt it necessary to help our fellow citizens, we brought food, tents and other supplies to the people who most needed help. We have successfully organized several emergency actions for the victims of the earthquake in the districts of Kavre, Sindhupalchok and Dolakha.
